Latisse is a prescription medication that's used to make eyelashes appear longer, thicker, and darker:

  • FDA-approved: Latisse is the first FDA-approved treatment for growing eyelashes. 
  • Clinically proven: Latisse is clinically proven to make lashes fuller, longer, and darker after 16 weeks. 
  • How it works: Latisse is believed to prolong the active eyelash growth phase. 
  • Side effects: Common side effects include eye redness and itchiness. Rare side effects include darkening of the eyelid skin and increased brown pigmentation of the iris. 
  • Who can use it: Latisse should only be used by people who get a prescription from an ophthalmologist, who will check their eye health. People with certain eye problems, such as conjunctivitis, macular edema, or uveitis, should not use Latisse. 
  • Cost: Latisse usually costs $155 for a 3ml treatment and $200 for a 5ml treatment. 
  • What happens if you stop using it: If you stop using Latisse, your eyelashes will gradually return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
